Nepenthes inermis X N. bongso is a naturally occurring hybrid from Borneo Exotics. I believe this hybrid is from tissue culture and not seed but I may be wrong. This particular hybrid has been available from them for some time so that leads me to believe it is tissue cultured. How many different clones of this hybrid they have in cultivation I do not know. The plant was purchased from Hortus Botanicus potted in their mix which is mostly sphagnum moss. It went directly outside with my other highlanders and appears to be fine. Sometimes new arrivals have transplant or humidity shock adapting to my growing conditions, but this plant fared well. It appears to exhibit the color of N. bongso and some of the pitcher shape of N. inermis. The real interesting part will be the uppers. The upper pitchers of N. inermis are quite unique so it will be some time before any of those are produced. Both parent plants are easy growers in typical highland conditions so I expect no problems with this hybrid once it gets acclimated to my environment.
