Nepenthes ventricosa X (spathulata X lowii) is a hybrid between two highland parents. My plant was from seed when I purchased it. I mainly bought the plant because it wasn't terribly expensive and liked the N. lowii in it. It should be a very hardy plant and do fine in my typical outdoor conditions. Exotica Plants said that some of these had some unusual shapes to them. I suspect that this hybrid will be nice but nothing spectacular. The upper pitchers should be of interest when they are produced. Hopefully the N. lowii will be more evident in my plant. Right now this plant is growing in full sun so that when new pitchers are produced, more intense color may appear.
